I Left My Heart in Heidelberg
Last summer was the most life changing experience for me. Participating in the European Study Center’s Intercultural Leadership program was the most rewarding experience of my college journey. From the first day I arrived, I felt an openness to the world that I had not felt before. My fondest memories include riding the tram daily, shopping in Bismarckplatz, having lunch on the Neckar River, and traveling to new countries with my newest lifeline friends. I met many locals that helped me explore deeper into European culture, and tried many things for the first time.
Participating in the Global Leadership and Intercultural Communications courses were my favorite part of the school day. I enjoyed the thought-provoking discussions with my professors and classmates, and I always left each conversation feeling more self-aware. All of the readings and experiences were somehow tied into our journey through Heidelberg, which brought everything full circle.
I cannot express enough how grateful I am for this program. I feel that the ESC really prepared me for my international career and life goals, and ignited a desire for me to leave more of my marks on the world.
Thank you ESC. Thank you Heidelberg.
