The French Know their Nightlife

By: Angela Cote

Let’s talk about going out! It’s so much fun here. Coming from a relatively small college town in southern Georgia, I did not know what to expect Strasbourg’s nightlife to be like. But let me tell you, it did not let me down. And before you ask, here are the places you absolutely have to go, Code Bar, Trolley Bus, and Le Fat. Code Bar is a cocktail bar with delicious, and very fancy cocktails. It is a little on the expensive side but is worth trying at least once.

Trolley Bus also has amazing cocktails as well as pretty much anything else you may be looking for. They seemed to be on the cheaper side as well. I recommend sitting outside if you choose to visit, the ambiance is spectacular there, even on the weeknights. Then after Trolley Bus, head over to Le Fat, it’s only a few minutes from Trolley Bus by walking! This is where all your dancing needs will be met. I think this has been one of my favorite spots for nightlife in the city so far.

The French club music carries certain magic to it. But if that’s not your thing don’t worry, they also throw in a few American hits as well, some are even in English. The cool thing about dancing is, it doesn’t matter what language it’s in, everyone knows how to dance!
